A Day in the Life - Lunch Break

Today, Justin and I are hopping on a plane (well, two planes), to start our month long Euro-tour in Glasgow, Scotland, where I once lived and worked as an au pair.

We'll be in Scotland for 3 nights before we take a train down to London so I can work for a week in our London office to help prepare for our association's big 50th Anniversary Celebration in Paris the following week.

I don't know how regularly I'll be posting over the next month, but I'm going to try to check in about twice a week or so.

Since I'll probably be sharing a lot of what I see over there, I thought I would start with showing a little glimpse of my life here in the US of A by shooting some pics while on a fro-yo quest at work.

The street outside my office; the Georgetown Canal
I'm pretty lucky to work in a neighborhood of DC called Georgetown. Known most obviously for the University, Georgetown is a picturesque, preppy mecca, full of expensive shops and trendy restaurants - a blessing for convenience, and a most definite curse for my wallet.
Fro-yo success; shops on M Street
A lot of people in DC tend to sneer at GT with its preppy, collegiate population, its pretentious shops, and its lack of a metro stop, but I'm still a sucker for the brick sidewalks, beautiful architecture, and let's face it - the numerous lunch options.

If you are ever visiting DC, I highly recommend a visit to Georgetown for some stellar shopping, a little old world charm, and spectacular water views.

Have a wonderful week everyone - I'll see you on the other side of the pond!

I LOVE GT. It can be pompous but there are way to many awesome things about it to let that get in the way. Have fun on your travels! Looking forward to reading about them!

I love Georgetown! I've told Paul if we ever live in D.C. I want to live there. He asked me when we became millionaires!
